More than 1 million antidrug booklets distributed by Scientologists in Cortina Olympics

Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has exceeded more than one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to Scientologists provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.

Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.

The prevention effort is part of wider social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
